We can provide service for parents called "walk with the horse and kid" for small children aged between 2-6 years. For the older kids aged 5-6 we offer special transition lessons "Pony Forge"
What is this program?
The Pony Forge is about acquainting a 5-6 year old child with the basics of equestrian terminology, safety rules for horses and in the saddle, and the method of cleaning and saddling a horse.
The program takes one hour. It begins with preparing the child for contact with the horse, i.e. wearing an equestrian vest and helmet, then introducing the horse and describing how to properly clean the horse and prepare it for riding. This part lasts approx. 15-20 minutes.
Then the child is carried out in the saddle, gets used to the movement of the animal, learns the correct posture, coordination and balance, i.e. the so-called balanced seat. Depending on the child, classes in the saddle last about 25-30 minutes and are gradually lengthening and intensifying. At the end, you learn how to dismount, clean the hooves, bring the horse into the box and post-riding care for the horse.
PRICE:
There is also possiblity for a longer (usually one-hour) session with the instructor, where the child is involved in various activities, such as grooming the horse, preparing the horse for ride and etc, under the guidance and the supervision of our instructors. The prices being 140 PLN per hour, and has to be booked 24 hours prior, just like any other session. You can buy a package of five classes for 700 PLN.
For club members this service is for free any time subject to the availability of horses. The number of free lessons shall not exceed the number of the other sessions.
