Jerzy Rubersz

Recreation Instructor

Born in 1956; at the age of 12 he already knew he wanted to combine his life career with horses. The real chance though came across in 1975 , when he actually started his studies at Faculty of History at the Łódź University. He became a member of Academic Horse-Riding Club  which used as its background premises the State–owned Stallion Center in Bogusławice, managed by legendary director  Andrzej Osadziński. The beginning was tough , but soon under the supervision of Wacław Gajda and Władysław Jaros he managed to participate in  professional events like CCI (WKKW) and  next moved to dressage sector.

In 1980 r. Jerzy Rubersz took interest in reining patterns and natural driving school, the roots coming from North American Indian tribal culture. Then he could put his hobby into work and use his experience in practical training mode. He became the head of Academic Horse Riding Club in Bogusławice in 1983 and stayed there in the function of Director till 1989. Almost at the same time he started his adventure with film industry . He was an extra in many film productions, just to mention a few well known Polish titles: „Polska Pieśń Żołnierska” (1977-1978), „80 huzarów” (1978), „Racławice” (1979), „Polonia Restituta” (1980), „Zamach stanu” (1980), „Austeria” (1982), „Przyspieszenie” (1984), „Kronika wypadków miłosnych” (1985), „Kanclerz” (1989), „Dzieje Mistrza Twardowskiego” (1995), „Ogniem i Mieczem” (1998).

In the last one – English translation – With Fire and Sword  - he was a stunt for the film main role -  Michał Żebrowski.

This film-related adventure resulted in another interesting occupation, though an occasional event. In 1993 and 1997  Jerzy Rubersz  ran stunt camps in Bogusławice.  Next in 1998  he took up a post in newly established Vocational Horse Breeding School at Agricultural Educational Center in Wolbórz, where he is employed till today as horse riding instructor. In this place he trains new generations of young riders and also organizes riding events like annual fox hunting days or horse races on St George’s day.  Jerzy Rubersz cooperates with many breeding and eventing stables all over Poland as well as various companies and associations, a.e.  „Agro-Aves Gajewniki”, media channels like TVP3 and TV Polonia.
